This year five shows namely ‘Jo Jeeta Woh hi Superstars 2’, ‘Kairi.. Rishta Khatta Meetha’ ‘Phir Subah Hogi’, ‘‘Indian Idol 6’, ‘Surkshetra’ and ‘Dance India Dance Li’l Champs’ will be launched during IPL season 5.
However, the producers feel that if soaps have good content, audience will stay connected. The top bosses of the channels are playing safe and do not wish to reveal major changes in the existing content.
However, Suresh Mishra (worker of GEC) says that certain changes will be brought in the content as the TRPs of the serials are slightly affected by IPL. However, ‘Saath Nibhana Sathiya’ which was also launched during IPL did exceptionally well. Repeat broadcast of the shows will surely work in the favor of GECs.
